In this match, the South African team won the toss and decided to bowl first. After the draw, both teams took the field to listen to their respective national anthems. This is done during each set. But when the Indian national anthem played, a strange incident occurred. Actually, due to a technical problem during the Indian national anthem, the national anthem had to be stopped twice. Seeing this incident, not only the fans but also the players were shocked. However, in the midst of all this, the Indian national anthem was played and then the match began.

In this match, team India batted first after losing the toss and put a big score on the board. The Indian team scored 202 runs with the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. Sanju Samson was the batsman who scored the most runs in this innings. He scored 107 runs in 50 balls with the help of 7 fours and 10 sixes. While Tilak Verma contributed 33 runs off 18 balls. On the other hand, Gerald Coetzee took a maximum of 3 wickets for South Africa. Marco Janson, Keshav Maharaj, Nakabayomji Peter and Patrick Earl Kruger took 1 wicket each.
