Amid assembly elections in Jharkhand, Congress and JDU fiercely attacked each other in the Jamshedpur West seat. JDU candidate from this seat Saryu Rai said that I am an NDA alliance candidate so my old rivalry (with Raghuvar Das) has become irrelevant in this election. That rivalry may remain in the mind, but in practice the situation has completely changed this time.
Saryu Rai said that in five years I did not have a direct relationship with Raghuvar Das, there was never any conversation. That resentment of mine was not personal but against the government. These were some decisions to be made in the government. If a minister raises any question due to differences of opinion, it is certain that the CM will not like it. So he used his influence. He was in his place, I was right too. But today these things are irrelevant.
BJP leaders believe that the Jamshedpur East seat is easy for them and they will field anyone and win from there. I was directed to shift to Jamshedpur West so that the Jamshedpur East and West seats would be vacant. Our aim is to form government in Jharkhand. At the request of the NDA, I came to Jamshedpur West; otherwise, he wanted to contest the elections only from Jamshedpur East.
On UCC, Saryu Rai said it should be implemented in Jharkhand. It is better that tribal society stays out of this. If the Government of India decides, Hemant Soren cannot stop it from implementing the UCC and NRC. The UCC may not become a big problem in Jharkhand in this election, but it is a problem at the national level.
The BJP has coined a new definition of dynasty and familism: if a family becomes the center of power and controls power, then it is familism. In such a situation, the Lalu family and Hemant Soren are examples of familism. He said that if his wife is fighting and not Arjun Munda, then the allegation of nepotism does not arise.
He said this time the BJP will win more than half of the seats in the Kolhan belt. In 2019, the tribal society had accepted that the then BJP government was working against their interests, but this time it is not the case. This time there is scope for the BJP to win more seats.
Saryu Rai is out of action this time
Congress candidate from Jamshedpur West seat Banna Gupta said Saryu Rai is not in the fight this time. So that your bail is not confiscated. It is not a challenge for us but for the BJP. Because he had decided to destroy the BJP. For the same reason, attempts were made to defeat BJP’s Dhanbad and Chatra candidates in the Lok Sabha elections. Saryu Rai himself used to raise the issue of Raghuvar Das’ corruption and an FIR has been registered against him.
The Congress candidate said that this time he has also sent people close to him to defeat the BJP candidate (Raghuvar Das’ daughter-in-law) in Jamshedpur East. They wanted a Dhanbad ticket and Congress support, but our party did not give it to them. He said Saryu Rai is a fugitive, after fleeing from here he went to Jamshedpur East, after fleeing from there he came to Jamshedpur West this time. The public does not support that Ranchod.
The BJP has promised to attract corrupt people from all parties into its party and make them virtuous. Chhagan Bhujbal, Madhu Koda, Ajit Pawar, Hemant Biswa Sarma are examples of this. The Congress candidate attacked Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and said that he is a Chinese who writes, writes and shoots. If Himanta Biswa Sarma talks about tribes, then why not give ST status to the tribes of Assam?
In the UCC, he said that this is an electoral stunt by the BJP and that they say such things to set the narrative. If infiltration is taking place, is the Border Security Force working under the central government or the Jharkhand government? If there has been infiltration, then the BJP government is responsible. If there has been any infiltration then the central government should resign.
The Congress leader said that if they commit a murder there is no discussion, even if we sigh, they defame us. BJP people are afraid of alliance with India and Rahul Gandhi. An Indian coalition government is to be formed again in Jharkhand. The BJP will be reduced to 22 seats.
