Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu – ‘BJP is acting childishly, not even like samosas…’, CM Sukhu gave clarification on ‘Samosa incident’ – Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu himachal pradesh cm said about samosa row cid CBI case ntc

‘Samosa’ continues to make headlines in Himachal Pradesh, which is struggling with economic conditions. Questions are being raised about “when did the samosas arrive, where did they go” and the state government is said to have even launched an investigation to find the answer to this question. When the government is being surrounded over these issues, the CM of Himachal Pradesh has said, “I don’t even eat samosas, I don’t even know where samosas come from.” And he has responded to the BJP on this issue.

What did the Chief Minister say?
After the ‘Samosa incident’ gained momentum in Himachal, CM Sukhu, while speaking to Aaj Tak on Friday, said, ‘BJP is acting childish. I didn’t even know where samosas came from, not like samosas. He said that as far as the economic situation is concerned, Himachal Pradesh is the only state that has given 3 months salary in one go. He also attacked Prime Minister Modi and said, ‘Gandhi family has always worked for the country, Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi were martyred for the country. This Prime Minister only works to attack the Gandhi family. It is not right for the BJP to create such problems.

CBI probe not ordered: CM’s media advisor
While clarifying the ‘Samosa controversy’, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister’s media advisor Naresh Chauhan said, ‘No CBI probe has been ordered in this matter. The Chief Minister had attended a CID program at the police headquarters as the chief guest. They do not eat outside food for health reasons. The CID has conducted an internal investigation at the departmental level into the food they had ordered. The government has not initiated any CID investigation.

Targeting the opposition, he said, “No one should tarnish the image of the state. The opposition is raising this issue due to elections in other states and its internal power struggle in Himachal. Since it was a CID programme, the CID is involved in this issue and is conducting its own departmental investigation.”

What is the full story of the Samosa incident…
What happened was that Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu had reached the CID headquarters on October 21. Here they ordered samosas and cakes in three boxes. But what happened was that instead of reaching the CM, these food items were served to the security personnel. After this, a CID investigation was launched into this entire matter. The CID has investigated who was to blame for the samosas and cakes brought for the Chief Minister being served to the CM’s staff. In the investigation report, a senior official wrote: This act is ‘anti-government and anti-CID’. On October 21, the CM had gone to the CID headquarters for a programme. By mistake, instead of the CM, samosas and cakes were served to the CM’s staff.

‘This is an internal matter of the CID’
On the samosa controversy, DG CID Sanjeev Ranjan said, the Chief Minister was the chief guest on one of our programmes. When the program ended, the officers were sitting drinking tea and someone asked if they had brought some items to find out what had happened to them. That was it.” He further said that this is completely an internal matter of the CID. It is sad and unfortunate that it has been exaggerated and politicized. It is unfortunate that people who have nothing to do with this. There is no connection, they are being attacked , no action has been taken in this regard and no notice has been issued.

What did the BJP say?
BJP chief spokesperson Randhir Sharma said in a statement issued here on Thursday: “The state government is not concerned about the development of the state and its only concern is the ‘Chief Minister’s samosa’.” He said the recent incident involving samosas brought for Sukhu has sparked controversy. He said the investigation described the mistake as an “anti-government” act, which is a big word. The BJP spokesperson further said that this incident has become a topic of discussion in the political circles of Himachal Pradesh. In fact, the government machinery is embarrassed due to such coordination issues at an event involving a VVIP like the Chief Minister. At the same time, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said the committee was not formed over samosas but over wrong behaviour.
