A shocking case has come to light in Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh. Here some smart people learned how to print fake currency by watching videos on YouTube. These people used ₹10 stamp paper to make them look like real notes. Police arrested two accused and recovered fake notes of Rs 500 to Rs 500 worth about Rs 10,000 from them. Printers, laptops and other equipment used to print notes have also been seized.

The police had received information from an informant that some people dealing in fake notes were present in the Ramgarh market area. Based on the information, the police immediately raided and arrested two people present at the scene.

The arrested accused have been identified as Pramod Mishra, resident of Churk police station, Robertsganj, Sonbhadra and Satish Rai, resident of Mirzapur. Police say these defendants learned how to make fake notes on YouTube. Police claim that the accused have so far spent around Rs 30,000 on fake notes in the market.

Using stamp paper to make it look like a real note.

The arrested accused told the police that they used to use Rs 10 stamp paper to make the fake notes look real. By printing notes on stamp paper, the fake notes became more believable and looked real, so people couldn’t doubt them. Apart from this, these defendants used printing technology to prepare exact copies of the notes.

Sonbhadra Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Kalu Singh said this action was taken after the police got a tip-off. The police have registered a case against two accused under various sections. Police are also investigating whether there are more members of this gang who may be involved in this crime.
