A gang rape victim in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, gave birth to a baby girl. Now the police are conducting DNA tests on the arrested accused to find out the father of the child. After this, the girl’s biological father will be known.
According to the information, the gangrape victim gave birth to a girl on October 18. Prakash, Kamal Kumar, Shravan and Awadhesh Yadav are accused of raping the woman. In such a situation, blood samples were taken and sent to the forensic science laboratory to discover the biological father of the girl.
Prakash, who lived in the girl’s locality in Thakurganj police station, Lucknow, lured her with him on October 20, 2023, took her hostage and raped her for two days. A few days later, he sold the girl to Kamal Kapoor, a resident of Sitapur. Kamal Kapoor is alleged to have raped the victim for several days, during which she became pregnant. After this, the accused sold it to Sarwan Yadav, a resident of Sitapur. The allegations are that Shravan along with him Awadhesh gang-raped the victim.
In this entire matter, a complaint was filed against six people, of whom four were arrested. The victim somehow escaped and reached home on the night of September 10 and filed a case at Thakurganj police station in which FIR was lodged against Prakash Kamal Kumar Sarwan Yadav and Awadhesh and Sarwan’s elder brother in other cases that included gang rape. After this, the police arrested Prakash, Kamal Kumar, Shravan and Awadhesh.
According to DCP Western Zone Vishwajeet Srivastava, DNA tests were conducted on all the accused to find out the father of the victim’s girl. Samples have been sent and results are awaited.
