Balochistan: Information is coming to light about a massive bomb explosion in Pakistan’s restive province of Balochistan. At least 20 people have died in this incident. While more than 30 people have been injured. This explosion took place near the railway station in Quetta, Balochistan. Initial reports indicate that the explosion occurred in the reservation office of the train station just before the train arrived at the platform. The crowd at the station was normal at the time of the explosion. Despite this, there is a risk of more victims.
Upon receiving information about the explosion, police and rescuers reached the explosion site. Emergency was imposed at Quetta Civil Hospital and additional doctors and paramedics were called to treat the injured. According to railway officials, the Jafar Express was to leave for Peshawar at 9 am. Authorities said the train had not reached the platform when the explosion occurred. The death toll from the explosion may increase as many of the injured are in critical condition.
The acting president condemned the incident.
Acting President Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani condemned the deadly incident and said terrorists were enemies of humanity and were targeting innocent people. Geelani reiterated his determination to take all possible measures to completely destroy terrorism. Meanwhile, Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti has directed the authorities concerned to investigate the fatal incident. The Chief Minister reiterated his determination to eliminate the menace of terrorism in the province.
