Nomination for the Maharashtra Assembly elections has also begun. Ideas about the final seat-sharing formula are still being discussed at Mahayuti. There is still a dilemma over Mahayuti’s 106 seats. An important meeting will be held in Delhi today in this regard. This meeting will be attended by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar. The three top leaders could also meet the BJP high command.

The three parties published their first lists

It is hoped that final approval of the remaining deadlocked seats can be achieved at this meeting today. Mahayuti’s three parties have published the first list of their candidates. So far, the BJP has declared its candidates in 99 seats. While Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena has released the list of 45 candidates and Ajit Pawar’s NCP has released the list of 38 candidates.

BJP can fight at 152-155

There are a total of 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra. According to sources, the BJP can contest in 152-155 seats, Eknath Shinde led the Shiv Sena in 70-80 seats and Ajit Pawar led the Nationalist Congress Party in 52-54 seats.

Shinde reached the Devi court before entering the electoral field.

Before entering the election fray, CM Eknath Shinde arrived in Assam on Wednesday to visit Kamakhya Devi. Coming here, Shinde said he is 100 per cent sure that Mahayuti will win.

The Shinde faction presented these top leaders in the elections

Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena has fielded its candidates for 45 seats. Eknath Shinde will contest from Kopri Pachpakhadi assembly seat. Sanjay Shirsat from Sambhajinagar West, Shambhuraje Desai from Patan, Uday Samant from Ratnagiri and Deepak Kesarkar from Sawantwadi have been candidates. Eknath Shinde also gave ticket to Vikas Bhumre, son of Paithan MP Sandipan Bhumre, Kiran Samant, brother of Rajapur minister Uday Samant, Manisha Vaykar, wife of Jogeshwari East MP Ravidra Vaykar.

The list of 38 PNC candidates published

Ajit Pawar’s NCP also released its first list on Wednesday and announced the names of 38 candidates. Most of the list contains sitting MLAs. Tickets have also been given to 6 of these faces, who are new or come from other parties.

  • Chhagan Bhujbal of Yeola
  • Dilip Walse Patil from Ambegaon
  • Hasan Mushrif of Kagal
  • Dhananjay Munde to contest Parli elections

Nawab Malik’s name does not figure in the first list of the NCP

The party has fielded Muslim candidate Najeeb Mulla from Mumbra Kalwa seat. Jitendra Awhad, a senior leader of Sharad Pawar’s party, is contesting from this seat. Neither Nawab Malik’s name nor his daughter Sana Malik’s name is in the NCP’s first list.
