The army’s ‘operation’ against terrorists
An encounter between terrorists and security forces took place on Sunday in a remote forest area of Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir in which three army soldiers were injured while Rakesh Kumar of Special Force 2 Para was martyred. . This encounter began when the joint operation of the army and police surrounded the terrorists hiding in the forests of Keshawan. According to officials, this is the same terrorist group that recently killed two town defense guards. Currently, the injured soldiers have been sent to Udhampur where the condition of three of them is said to be critical.
An anti-terror operation is underway in Kuntwara and Keshawan forests in Kishtwar since Thursday afternoon. The army’s White Knight Corps, based in Jammu, said in a social media post that after receiving specific information about the presence of terrorists, security forces launched a joint operation in the Bharat Ridge area. During this, heavy shooting took place and still takes place between the two sides. Authorities said three to four terrorists are likely trapped in the area.

Army operation against terrorists continues
An operation against terrorists was also carried out in Nishat area of Srinagar where the terrorists hiding in a house were surrounded. The security forces had started this operation since Saturday night. Dachigam National Park is some distance from the encounter site, where the terrorists may try to escape into the forests. Authorities said three terrorists may be involved in this encounter. In these counter-terrorism operations being carried out in Jammu and Kashmir, the security forces are continuously busy surrounding the terrorists and eliminating their hideouts.
Action on properties of terrorism handlers
Apart from this, in the encounter that took place on Saturday in Rampora area of Sopore, security forces killed one terrorist and surrounded two-three terrorists. Officials said a search operation was carried out based on intelligence input, in which the terrorists started shooting. The Jammu and Kashmir police have also attached properties of four terrorist handlers in North Kashmir’s Handwara to eliminate the terrorists and their ecosystem.
