The police arrested 18 criminals belonging to the gang.
Delhi Crime News (Aaj Samaj), New Delhi: The Crime Branch of Delhi Police managed to arrest a gang involved in arms smuggling. During this period, the police team arrested 18 criminals belonging to the gang and recovered a cache of weapons from them. Giving information in this regard, Special Commissioner of Police Devesh Chandra Srivastava said that the police team has achieved this success by taking action on the basis of secret information.
He said the police had received information that Arshad and Mohammad Suleman, residents of Mulla Colony, Ghazipur, would go to Noida to execute the robbery conspiracy. The police team laid siege to the paper market, Ghazipur, Delhi, stopped the car from I-20 and arrested both. The car was found stolen from Karol Bagh police station area in Delhi.
The accused revealed that they purchased illegal weapons from Anuj alias Moni, a resident of Patparganj village, Delhi. At the behest of both, Anuj alias Moni was also arrested. After this, the police continued to link this case through interrogations and in total arrested 18 people related to this gang. All of them confessed during the preliminary interrogation that they have been linked to this gang for a long time.

These weapons were recovered
Apart from arresting the accused, the police also recovered 4 semi-automatic pistols, 8 country-made pistols (desi pistols), one country-made rifle, three knives, 33 loading cartridges and a stolen car. The detainees were previously involved in more than 50 cases of murder, attempted murder, crime, robbery and extortion.
