A hearing is being held today (Tuesday, November 12) in the Supreme Court on the recruitment case of 69 thousand teachers from Uttar Pradesh. The Supreme Court had stayed the High Court’s decision to publish the new recruitment list. According to sources, this matter will be heard today at the request of the selected general category candidates.
We tell you that this case has been in the Supreme Court since October. A hearing has been held in this case before a bench headed by the CJI. Since then there are continuous dates on the same. Before Diwali, the next date in this case was proposed to be November 15. But now this hearing will take place today. According to information, the court of Justice Dipankar Dutta and Prashant Kumar Mishra will hear this case.
In fact, the UP government had recruited teachers for 69 thousand posts and their exam was held in January 2019. After the exam, the candidates were allotted jobs as per the limit. The cut-off for General was 67.11%, while the cut-off for OBC was 66.73%. In this regard, the teacher candidates said that there has been a scam in this recruitment in 19 thousand positions and while giving their position on the matter, they had stated that in this recruitment the OBC should have obtained 27 percent reservation, but instead of that, only 3.86 percent obtained reservation. Similarly, the SC category should have got 21 per cent bookings but instead got only 16.6 per cent bookings.
