(Rewari News) Rewari. Crime Branch-1 Rewari Inspector-in-charge team Sumer Singh arrested three accused of stealing the temple idol from Garhi Mahasar village of Mahendragarh district. The arrested accused have been identified as Ankit alias Vikas, resident of Beri Hal Dhaud Chowk Jhajjar village in Jhajjar district, Ankit alias Anu and Ajay alias Ajju, resident of Dhani Khundrod village in Alwar district, Rajasthan. The police have recovered the Mata idol stolen from the temple from the possession of the accused.
The investigator said that on November 10, Rewari police of Crime Branch 1 received information that three youths were coming to Rewari to sell a silver metal idol from Garhi Mahasar village temple after stealing it. The three youths are currently located near Bawal Road New Bypass. Upon receiving the information, the police immediately prepared a raiding party, reached the indicated location and arrested the three accused. They were identified as Ankit alias Vikas, resident of Beri Hall Dhaud Chowk village, Jhajjar district, Ankit alias Anu and Ajay alias Ajju, resident of Dhani Khundrod village, Alwar district Rajasthan.
When the police searched the accused, a silver idol of Mata was recovered from their possession. During police interrogation, the accused said that the above-mentioned idol had been stolen from the temple in Garhi Mahasar village of Mahendragarh district. Therefore, the police registered a case against the accused at Model Town police station and arrested the three accused. The police have produced the three accused before the court and remanded them to judicial custody.
