In the backdrop of construction of Sheetla Mata Temple, DC and Shri Mata Sheetla Devi Shrine Board administrator Ajay Kumar visited the Shri Sheetla Mata Devi Temple complex on Tuesday. He took darshan of the mother and received blessings. Shri Mata Shitala Devi Shrine Board CEO and Badshahpur SDM Ankit Chokse was also present on this occasion.
He said construction work on a new multi-storey Mata building on about 4.8 acres in the Shrimata Shitala temple complex is in progress. 70 per cent of the construction work of this new building, which is being constructed at a cost of approximately Rs 90 crore, has been completed. Due to some changes in the building design, there has been a slight delay in construction work. Now this construction work will be completed in September next year. The construction work of Shri Shitala Mata Devi temple under construction during Amrit Kaal will be completed by September 2025.
After receiving darshan of Shri Sheetala Mata Devi, DC Ajay Kumar discussed the working system of the Shrine Board with Ankit Chokse, CEO of Shri Mata Sheetala Devi Shrine Board. The progress of the ongoing construction work of the new Mata building in the temple premises was reviewed. Temple administration officials and organization officials related to the construction of the new building of Shri Mata Shitala Devi were also present during this inspection tour. He said that the facilities of the devotees in the new building have been taken maximum care of.
A yoga pavilion, a meditation hall, a pond and an open-air theater will also be built.
Facilities such as a yoga pavilion, meditation hall, pond, open-air theatre, children’s park and STP and ETP will also be available in the new complex. He said that after the construction work of the temple is completed, a separate tender worth Rs 35 crore will be floated for finishing works and basic facilities. After receiving detailed information related to the construction works, the DC said that there should be no shortage of any kind in the quality of construction works. He said Shri Shitala Mata temple is an important place of faith in North India. In such a situation, the temple administration must ensure that the construction work of the temple is completed at the earliest so that the devotees coming from different states of the country do not face any inconvenience.
