Who is Amit Chaudhary?
Amit Chaudhary is an officer with the Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS). He is currently SDM in Malpura of Tonk district. Amit Chaudhary is a 2019 batch RSS officer in Rajasthan. He was born on May 14, 1992. Amit Chaudhary is originally from Alwar. Before becoming SDM in Malpura Tonk, Amit Kumar Chaudhary had been SDM in Manoharpura police station in Jhalawar, Chikli of Dungarpur, Hindoli Bundi, Aswar Jhalawar and Nagaur.
When did the commotion occur?
Wednesday’s vote was for the by-elections in the Deoli-Uniara assembly seat in Rajasthan. During this, the independent candidate slapped Amit Chaudhary, who was posted on election duty. Naresh Meena quits Congress and contests elections as an independent.

However, Meena later escaped from police custody.

District Election Officer and Tonk district magistrate Soumya Jha said that people of Samravata village have announced to boycott the by-elections. Jha said that this village is currently under Nagar Fort tehsil and the villagers are demanding that the village be under Uniara tehsil, which is close to their village.
He said that when Amit Chaudhary went to the village to persuade people to vote in the by-elections, the independent candidate slapped him. Jha said the villagers had raised this demand a few days ago and were assured on October 30 that the matter would be considered after the model code of conduct was lifted.

Deoli-Uniara independent candidate Naresh Meena said the SDM had earlier beaten up a woman in Hindoli. Amit Chaudhary beat up an anganwadi woman, her husband and a teacher. They were threatened with losing their jobs and forced to vote.
