Uttar Pradesh: A major scam has been exposed in the land acquisition made for the National Highway in Jaunpur district of Uttar Pradesh. Ten employees, including four revenue inspectors, have been found guilty of this scam, against whom Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken strict action. CM has ordered to suspend all guilty employees and management.

Fake payment made in scam

In fact, a major financial scam has been detected during land acquisition for National Highway No. 135 A (Madiyahun Bypass), 56-731 B in Jaunpur district. The investigation revealed that a fake payment of more than Rs 4 million was made. Employees convicted of this scam prepared false records for 46 farmers based on falsified documents and issued pay checks. In addition, false documents were prepared in the name of the tenants of the land acquired for the highway. With these documents, 46 tenants were identified, in whose name the payment process was completed.

Big revelation in the investigation

Investigation revealed that a check worth Rs 4,54,42,759 was issued for payment, of which Rs 4,00,29,741 was also paid. However, the inquiry commission canceled the check of Rs 54,13,018.

Tax inspector found guilty

In this scam, four revenue inspectors (Santosh Tiwari, Udayraj, Shivkumar and Brijesh Singh) have been found guilty of fake payments. Whom the CM has ordered to suspend. Along with this, the Appointments Department has sent the related file to the Treasury Department for action.
