Reports of infection from McDonald’s hamburgers.

Bad news has arrived for McDonald’s burger lovers. There has been an accusation of spreading an infection called E.coli bacteria by eating hamburgers from the famous American food chain McDonald’s. Investigators at the US Federal Investigation Agency are trying to confirm this. At the same time, the McDonald’s company has also responded to these accusations. The company has assured its customers that its restaurants are safe.

49 people fell ill, one died

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported Tuesday that eating McDonald’s hamburgers has spread the E.coli bacteria infection. Due to this infection, 49 people have fallen ill and one of them has also died. McDonald’s said it is working closely with federal food safety regulators after learning of the incident.

Infection transmitted by quarter-pound hamburger

Initial investigation has revealed that the spread of this bacterial infection is suspected to be due to the onions in McDonald’s Quarter Pounder burger. Following the allegations, the Quarter Pounder burger was removed from McDonald’s stores in parts of the states affected by the bacteria, as well as other states. At the same time, McDonald’s has announced that it is looking for a new supplier of fresh onions. The company has said the supplier periodically tests its onions for E-coli.

What are the symptoms of E.coli bacteria infection?

McDonald’s has more than 14 thousand restaurants in the United States. Cases of E. coli bacterial infection have been reported in Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Oregon, Utah and Wisconsin in the US between September 27 and October 11. Coli bacteria grow in the intestines of animals and are found in the environment. This infection can cause fever, stomach cramps, and bloody diarrhea. (input language)
