Delhi- India is progressing rapidly in the field of energy. And trying to achieve new goals. In this, an official statement states that the contribution of renewable energy to the country’s total installed power generation capacity of 452.69 gigawatts is 46 percent.

The country’s total renewable energy capacity has exceeded 200 gigawatts (GW). The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) said India’s renewable energy capacity will increase by 24.2 GW (13.5 percent) in just one year to reach 203.18 GW by October 2024.

“Renewable energy now accounts for more than 46.3 percent of total capacity,” the MNRE said. He said India’s total power generation capacity has reached 452.69 GW. With nuclear capacity, India’s total non-fossil fuel capacity in 2023 stood at 211.36 GW as against 186.46 GW. Of the total 203 GW, solar energy will generate 92.12 GW, wind 47.72 GW, large hydroelectric projects 46.93 GW and small hydroelectric projects 5.07 GW.
