Prime Minister Narendra Modi
The Commonwealth of Dominica has announced that it will award its highest national award, the Dominica Honor Award, to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This award will be presented to Prime Minister Modi during the India-CARICOM Summit in Georgetown, Guyana, from November 19 to 21. The President of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Sylvanie Burton, will honor him.
This honor reflects the contribution made by Dominica during the COVID-19 pandemic and the strong partnership of the Government of India. This award is given in recognition of India’s support to Dominica in health, education and information technology under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. .
PM Modi is our true supporter: Dominica
The Government of Dominica says that Prime Minister Modi has been our true supporter. During the COVID-19 pandemic, in February 2021, Prime Minister Modi supplied 70,000 doses of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine to Dominica. He supported us in our time of need in the midst of the serious health crisis. Our government offers our thanks.
Cooperation in health, education and climate change
Dominica Commonwealth says that along with health and education, India’s Modi government has also expressed serious concern about global climate change and taken corrective initiatives.
