Accused MLA candidate Naresh Meena has been arrested by the police. In protest of this arrest, Naresh Meena’s supporters set fire to the state highway on the outskirts of Samravata village. Naresh Meena’s supporters raised slogans against the police administration. On Wednesday, SDM Amit Chaudhary was slapped by Naresh Meena, following which the police arrested Naresh Meena. In protest against this, violence broke out in Samravata village in the evening. The criminals set fire to more than 100 vehicles.
There is tremendous anger in the RAS Association over the SDM Amit Chaudhary slap incident. In protest of the incident, the RAS Association has announced a statewide strike. In support of the RAS officials, the Ministerial Employees Union, Village Development Officer, Tehsildar Union, Kanungo Employees Union and Sarpanch Union have also announced their support for the strike.
Memorandum submitted to the district collector
People associated with the RAS Association in Barmer submitted a memorandum on behalf of the Chief Minister to the District Collector. They have warned to continue the strike until the strictest measures are taken against the accused. The Jodhpur divisional commissioner will visit Barmer on Thursday. During this time, the Divisional Commissioner is scheduled to meet the general public at a block level public hearing in Barmer. Naresh Meena made allegations
Naresh Meena alleged that his symbol on the EVM was blurred. At the same time, it was alleged that three people at the polling stations conducted a false vote. After this the matter got worse. On Wednesday night, the miscreants attacked the police by throwing stones and setting fire to them. Police arrested Naresh Meena in this case. Naresh Meena, while admitting the attack to the police, said yes, I had killed, I had killed because the SDM was an agent of the BJP, he was trying to defeat me in the entire area. Naresh Meena’s argument is that when the administration does not listen, slapping becomes a compulsion. Naresh Meena said he had not escaped from police custody and had never absconded.
