Asteroid hits Earth immediately after its discovery – Asteroid hits Earth just two hours after its discovery, the third such incident this year – Asteroid 2024 UQ burned up over the Pacific Ocean near California just 2 hours later of its discovery on October 22, 2024

Last month, an asteroid collided with Earth’s atmosphere just two hours after its discovery. Burning fell into the Pacific Ocean near California. Somehow this asteroid fooled the world’s tracking systems and came very close to Earth. There was no danger from the 3-foot-wide asteroid.

However, if it had fallen in a city, it could have caused damage. That’s also on a terrible level. This asteroid has been named 2024 UQ. It was discovered on October 22, 2024. The telescopes of four telescopes of the Asteroid Land Impact Latest Alert System (ATLAS), present in Hawaii, together saw an object in space approaching Earth.

He was immediately located. Just two hours later, this asteroid fell into the Pacific Ocean, near California. That’s why it’s called Imminent Impactor. That means the time between its discovery and its impact was very short. Because when the European Space Agency’s (ESA) impact tracking system was able to properly track it, it fell into the sea.

When the scientists were able to do the addition and subtraction, the asteroid fell into the sea.

According to the European Space Agency, the ATLAS study obtained some photographs. When it was examined, this small asteroid had already entered the atmosphere. There was a good chance that it would fall to the ground. While the study was being carried out on where it would impact, it fell into the Pacific Ocean near California.

Intruders failed to catch the asteroid for the third time this year

ESA’s Near-Earth Object Coordination Center (NEOCC) said NOAA’s GOES weather satellite and NASA’s Catalina Sky Survey detected a bright, fast-moving object in the sky. This flashing light was this asteroid that was entering the Earth’s atmosphere.

This year such an incident has occurred for the third time. Previously, the 3.3-foot-wide asteroid 2024 BX1 had exploded over Berlin in January. The second 2024 WR1 exploded in the sky over the Philippines on September 4, 2024. People made videos of this and posted it on social media. There is a video of this on YouTube, which You can see it below.
