Guru Nanak Jayanti 2024: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday greeted the state and countrymen on Guru Nanak Jayanti. Along with this, he has congratulated the people of Bihar on the occasion of Kartik Purnima. CM Nitish Kumar said in his message that Guru Nanak’s personality contains the qualities of a philosopher, yogi, householder, founder of religion, social reformer, poet, patriot and Vishwabandhu.

Guru Nanak Jayanti is celebrated as the birth anniversary of the first guru of Sikhism, Shri Nanak Dev Ji. This year it will celebrate its 555th Prakash Parv. Guru Nanak Jayanti is celebrated every year on the full moon day of the month of Kartik. It is also called Guru Parv. At the same time, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar said that Guru Nanak Dev had traveled extensively in all four directions to give the sacred message of peace, goodness and humanity.

While congratulating countrymen on the eve of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s 555th Prakash Parv, the Chief Minister said he had given the motto of ‘Ek Omkar’ i.e. God is One. He used to say that one should give up any kind of greed, work hard with one’s own hands, and earn money through fair means. He said we should all work together to fulfill Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s dream of creating a holistic and harmonious society.

The first Guru of Sikhism, Shri Nanak Dev Ji, was born on April 15, 1469. Guru Shri Nanak Dev Ji, born in Talwandi, Punjab, was a great saint, thinker and social reformer. He gave the entire world the message of equality, love and service to humanity. Apart from being the first guru of the Sikhs, Guru Nanak Dev Ji laid the foundation of Sikhism.

Bihar is the second holiest place for Sikhs.

At the same time, Bihar is also an important and sacred place for Sikhism. Takht Sri Harmandir Ji Patna Sahib in the capital of Bihar is one of the five Takhts of the Sikhs. It is considered the second most sacred throne of the Sikhs. This is the birthplace of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Guru Gobind Singh was born on December 22, 1666 in Patna, son of the ninth Sikh Guru Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and Mata Gujri. Guru Gobind Singh was the tenth and last guru of the Sikhs.
