While the Pakistan Cricket Board has clearly refused to allow the ICC to organize the Champions Trophy 2025 in the hybrid model, in this situation the only option left is to organize it elsewhere. South Africa was in the lead in this race, but in early 2025 the third season of the SA20 will be played there, the official schedule of which has already been announced. The SA20 will begin on January 9 and the final will be played on February 8, with matches to be played in Centurion, Gkebarha, Durban, Paarl, Johannesburg and Cape Town. Although the official Champions Trophy schedule has not been announced, it is expected to begin on February 19. In such a situation, if it is decided to hold the tournament in Africa, the pitches in these stadiums will be ready for The matches will not be properly prepared. While the ICC prepares its tournaments in advance in terms of the pitch and stadium so that everything can be prepared according to its standards, in this situation it seems that nothing is happening, so the tournament can also be held in South Africa. ICC was to release the official schedule of the Champions Trophy on November 11, but it was postponed after the Indian team’s refusal.
