In Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh, a former Aam Aadmi Party Assembly candidate, out of unrequited love, kidnapped a girl and took her hostage. The Aam Aadmi Party leader was allegedly pressurizing the girl to get married. As soon as she had the opportunity, with the help of the driver, the girl freed herself from the clutches of the accused and reached the police. The victim reported the matter to the police. Police have laid siege and arrested 3 accused and are investigating the matter.
The whole thing is in the area of the university police station. The incident occurred when the girl was passing near the stadium crossing to do some work. At the same time, the accused Gaurav Verma forced her to sit in the car on the pretext of getting her a cheap tablet. The girl had previously worked with Gaurav Verma, whom she knew. Gaurav took her to a house in Nehru Nagar after taking her to Bypass, Kailashpuri and Ring Road and other places. There he tied the girl’s hands and legs and took her hostage by stuffing a cloth in her mouth. Gaurav and his friends had gone out to look for food, at which point the driver opened the door of the room, rescued the girl and brought her safely home. As soon as she reached home, the girl told the whole story to her relatives, after which the family took her to the police station.
The police arrested the accused
As soon as information about the incident was received, Superintendent of Police Vivek Singh formed special teams under the supervision of SDOP Dabhaura Rupendra Dhurve, University Police Station In-charge Hitendranath Sharma and Police Station In-charge by Bichhiya, Manisha Upadhyay. Acting swiftly, these teams arrested the accused Gaurav Verma, his associates Nikhil Saket and Shani Saket.

Gaurav Verma is a software engineer by profession. I used to work in an IT company in Delhi with a good package. During this time, his attitude began to move towards the Aam Aadmi Party. He approached Arvind Kejriwal and quit his job. He received a ticket for the 2018 assembly elections from Rewa assembly constituency. In this election, Gaurav’s security deposit was confiscated and after losing the election, his financial situation also deteriorated. Gaurav was already married but got divorced after the elections.
