Chandigarh News (Aaj Samaj) Chandigarh: Fog continues to wreak havoc in Haryana for the last two days. Accidents have occurred in many places in the state. The Meteorological Department has also issued orange and yellow alert for fog until November 16. Orange alert was issued in 3 districts of Haryana and yellow alert in 9 districts. Visibility is less than 50 meters in Sirsa, Fatehabad and Hisar. While in Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Karnal, Rewari, Jhajjar, Gurugram, Faridabad, Rohtak, Sonipat, Panipat, Jind and Charkhi Dadri, the visibility is 50 to 100 meters. In view of the increasing fog, Grape-3 has been implemented in Delhi and NCR.

With the implementation of Grape-3, crusher mining has been stopped in 14 districts of the state. Due to fog, the average AQI of 11 cities, including Gurugram and Panchkula, reached the worst category. So the administration has decided that schools up to fifth grade will operate online. AQI has crossed 400 in 11 cities of Haryana. The AQI in Jind has touched 500. The Meteorological Department says the weather in Haryana is likely to remain generally changeable but dry until November 17. Due to easterly winds on November 15 and 16, there may be intermittent partly cloudy skies and fog.

These districts of Haryana come under NCR.

14 districts of Haryana belong to the NCR. These include Faridabad, Gurugram, Nuh, Rohtak, Sonipat, Rewari, Jhajjar, Panipat, Palwal, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Mahendragarh, Jind and Karnal.
