War of words between leaders over ‘Vote Jihad’ intensifies
The war of words between leaders over the alleged electoral jihad in Maharashtra has also intensified. While AIMIM supremo Asaduddin Owaisi is targeting Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis, Devendra Fadnavis says ‘Vote Jihad’ will now be answered with ‘Dharma Yudh’. Due to the war of words between Owaisi and Fadnavis, other issues of the State have been suppressed. Come on, let us know why the rhetoric about ‘Vote Jihad’ started and where ED came into it.
ED raids 23 locations in money laundering case
On one hand, there is a round of accusations and counter-accusations among political parties over ‘Vote Jihad’, while on the other hand, ED is also seen in full action. The central agency has carried out raids against a Malegaon businessman in a money laundering case. These raids were carried out in 23 locations in the election-bound state of Maharashtra and the neighboring state of Gujarat. It is alleged that the businessman allegedly used fake documents and fake KYC to open multiple bank accounts, resulting in transactions of over Rs 100 million.
The entry of ED into the electoral environment has heated up the atmosphere even more.
Two people arrested in ‘Vote Jihad’ case
In this money laundering case, two people have been arrested on charges of buying votes by giving millions of rupees to the poor. The BJP calls this matter a ‘Vote Jihad’ scam. The matter came to light when BJP leader Kirit Somaiya alleged that around Rs 125 crore was sent from a bank in Malegaon through hawala traders and then this money was sent to various accounts. The purpose of this money was supposedly to influence voters before the elections.
The great revelation of the PNC on the Muslim boards
Many Muslim boards in Maharashtra are officially declaring which party they belong to. In this sequence, All India Ulema Board has also said that it supports Mahavikas Aghadi, who calls himself well-wisher of Muslims. However, Maharashtra NCP’s Ajit Pawar faction vice-president Salim Sarang made a big revelation in this regard. Sarang made serious allegations against the All India Ulema Board and said that this board does not exist today and is appealing to Muslims to vote for MVA in the elections.
“Where the BJP does not get votes, there is electoral jihad”
Let us tell you that the political temperature in Maharashtra is high with slogans like ‘Vote Jihad’ and ‘Ek hai to safe hai’. While on one hand, Fadnavis and Owaisi are attacking each other, on the other, the BJP has continued to target MVA. Only on November 23 will it be clear whether the ruling party or the opposition will benefit from these issues that have created tension in Maharashtra politics.
