Stock Market Diwali Holidays: Diwali will be celebrated across the country on Thursday, October 31. In such a situation, people might think that there will be a holiday for the stock market on Diwali. But it still doesn’t seem like it. There is no holiday in the month of October in the list of holidays available on the Bombay Stock Exchange website after October 2. Here the Diwali holiday is celebrated on Friday, November 1. After this, there is a weekly stock market holiday on Saturdays and Sundays. In this way, there will be a holiday for the stock market for 3 consecutive days. But if the Stock Exchange issues a circular and declares a holiday on October 31, then the Stock Exchange may remain closed for 4 consecutive days.

When is Muhurat marketed?

This time Muhurat operations will be carried out in the stock market on Friday, November 1. This will be a special 1 hour ‘Muhurat Vyapar’ session. This will mark the beginning of the new Samvat 2081. The stock exchanges have informed in separate circulars that the indicative trading sessions will be held between 6pm and 7pm. This season also marks the beginning of a new samvat (Hindu calendar year that begins on Diwali). Doing business during ‘Muhurat’ or ‘auspicious hours’ is believed to bring prosperity and financial growth to the parties concerned.

Muhurat Business Hours

November 1 is the official Diwali holiday on stock exchanges. The markets will remain closed that day. But the special trading window will remain open for one hour in the afternoon. The stock exchanges have announced that the pre-opening session will be held from 5:45 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. At the same time, a special trading session will be organized from 6 to 7 p.m. Market analysts said Diwali is considered the ideal time to start something new. It is believed that investors make profits from trading during this session throughout the year.
