Minister of Education honored 40 preschool teachers
This initiative will mark the beginning of a new era of primary education: Bains
Punjab (Aaj Samaj) News Update, Chandigarh: The Punjab government has launched a new education initiative, Aarambh, which aims to revolutionize primary education by ensuring parental involvement. School Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains launched this initiative during a state-level programme.
On this occasion, the Minister of School Education honored 40 pre-school teachers for their outstanding contribution in primary education. In his speech, Harjot Singh Bains said that the importance of primary education is of utmost importance in view of the current enrollment of over 3.5 lakh students in public pre-primary schools of Punjab.
A positive environment will be created in schools.
Noting that more than 85 per cent of brain development occurs before the age of six, the Cabinet Minister said the launch of the Aarambh initiative reflects our commitment to the development of children. The Minister said that this initiative presents a digital platform to create a positive environment at the school level with the participation of teachers and parents, which facilitates the regular exchange of educational content through WhatsApp groups. He said this initiative will ensure continued involvement of parents in children’s early education, which will especially benefit 3.8 lakh low-income families.

The new system will start in eight districts
The Cabinet Minister said that this initiative will be launched initially in eight districts namely Ludhiana, Mohali, Patiala, Rupnagar, Sri Muktsar Sahib, Tarn Taran, Sangrur and Amritsar in collaboration with Punjab Development Commission and NGO Rocket Learning. The Cabinet Minister said that this strategic initiative will set new benchmarks in primary education, thereby giving Punjab a leading position in the field of educational innovation.
