Home Minister Amit Shah’s bag was searched in Hingoli, Maharashtra. Election Commission officials searched Shah’s bag. This incident has occurred amidst the political controversy over the investigation into Uddhav Thackeray’s handbag. Uddhav Thackeray’s bag was searched twice in Yavatmal district on Monday and in Latur on Tuesday.

Amit Shah has given this information about bag checking on his social media account. Shah wrote, “Today, during the election campaign in Maharashtra’s Hingoli Assembly, Election Commission officials checked my helicopter. BJP believes in fair elections and a healthy electoral system and follows all the rules laid down by the Hon’ble Election Commission. We all must contribute to a healthy electoral system and fulfill our duties to keep India the strongest democracy in the world.

Fadnavis’ bag was also searched.

A day earlier, the BJP’s Maharashtra unit had released a video on X on Wednesday in which security personnel are seen checking the “bag” of deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis. The BJP said resorting to the Constitution just for show is not enough and everyone should follow the constitutional system. The BJP had said in the post that some leaders have a habit of creating “drama”. Let us tell you that this post was shared by former CM Uddhav Thackeray-led party Shiv Sena (UBT) after sharing videos online for the last two days.

Let us tell you that Uddhav Thackeray claimed that election officials searched his bag after he arrived in Latur and Yavatmal districts to campaign for the state assembly elections to be held on November 20. Thackeray also asked if the same rule would be applied to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other senior leaders of the ruling coalition during their election campaign.
