Pakistan did something bad again and announced a trophy tour in PoK

Champions Trophy: PCB has taken a dire step regarding next year’s Champions Trophy. The PCB has announced that it will organize a country-wide tour in conjunction with the Champions Trophy.

The trophy will go to places like Skardu, Murree, Hunza and Muzaffarabad. Of these four places, 3 Skardu, Hunza and Muzaffarabad are located in PoK. This step of his will raise many questions in India too. India has already refused to go to Pakistan.

The dispute between India and Pakistan over the 2025 Champions Trophy deepens. The BCCI’s refusal to tour Pakistan and the PCB’s selection of controversial venues for the trophy tour add to the controversy.

For security reasons, the BCCI has made it clear that the Indian team will not tour Pakistan. This decision is based on long-standing political and security concerns between India and Pakistan.

The Pakistan Cricket Board has selected venues like Skardu, Hunza and Muzaffarabad in POK (Pakistan Occupied Kashmir) for the trophy tour. This move is certainly unacceptable to India and will further aggravate the dispute.

The ICC postponed the meeting scheduled to be held on November 11, in which the tournament schedule was to be announced. It now remains to be seen how the ICC handles this controversy and decides where to hold the tournament.

It is clear from this step by the PCB that it wants to bring controversial issues to the international stage. This may further increase tension between the two countries.

Possibility of changing venue: If India maintains its position, the ICC can move the venue of the Champions Trophy to a neutral venue, as happened during the 2023 Asia Cup.

Political and diplomatic impact: This dispute will not be limited only to sport, but will also affect political relations between both countries.
