The famous, historical and religious Tirtharaj Kapal Mochan Mela was organized peacefully from 11th to 15th November 2024 with complete devotion, joy and in accordance with the glory of the region. Devotees from different states of the country bathed in the three lakes and paid homage to all the Gurudwaras located there and offered prayers at the temples.
Devotees of different religions from different states started taking main bath at Kapal Mochan Sarovar, Loan Mochan Sarovar and Suraj Kund located in this holy place on the occasion of full moon of Kartik month which started after 12 o’clock in the night of November 14. Devotees of different religions who had come to the fair moved from one lake to another, hugging each other to bathe in the three lakes. This scene was very beautiful, because each devotee, before bathing in each lake, lit a lamp and made a wish and after the fulfillment of the previously made wish, he performed puja.
The bulbs and lamps installed by the administration in the temples, Gurudwaras and ghats of the three holy lakes were quite beautiful. The state of reverence was such that people bathed in the three lakes even in the dead of winter. An amazing spectacle of faith, devotion and belief was seen at the Kapal Mochan fair, some families bathed in winter with small children. The passion of devotion among the devotees was so high that they considered all this as worship. Among these, there were many devotees who had come here after the fulfillment of some wish because the Kapal Mochan fair is also famous for the fact that here every wish made with true heart is fulfilled and after the wish is fulfilled, the devotees One has to bathe in these lakes. The administration made elaborate arrangements for the facilities of the devotees. A large number of devotees came from different parts of the country and neighboring districts of Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh etc.
People of different religions and sects have a special faith in visiting Kapal Mochan Tirtha Raj, which has been the land of gods, goddesses, sages, Sufi saints and gurus since ancient times. It is believed that by bathing in Kapal Mochan Sarovar, the sins of a person’s previous births are washed away. By bathing in Loan Mochan Sarovar, a person becomes free from all types of debts and by bathing in Suraj Kund Sarovar, a person attains salvation. According to religious beliefs, the three famous and religious lakes of Kapal Mochan Tirtha are considered to provide food, wealth and prosperity to humanity.
There were thousands of devotees who bathed in the sacred ponds of Kapal Mochan, who have been coming here continuously for the last few years and have also reaped the fruits of their faith, so there is something of a test here.
Because Guru Gobind Singh Ji rested here for 52 days after the Battle of Bhagani, this place is considered as sacred and virtuous to Sikh devotees as it is to Hindus due to the stay here of Lord Shri Ram and Shri Krishna. a symbol of their special beliefs. This time the devotees had started arriving at this holy place at a rapid pace from November 11 to take Panch Snan and after 12 midnight on November 14, as soon as the full moon of the month of Kartik began, People began to come to the three lakes to bathe and worship. After that he began to return from the fair at the same speed. The crowd was in full swing in the entire fair area since 12 pm yesterday and this surge continued till this afternoon and throughout today, thousands of local devotees from nearby areas bathed in the sacred lakes.
Under the guidance of Chief Fair Administrator and Deputy Commissioner Captain Manoj Kumar, the fair administration made comprehensive arrangements in all aspects for five days at Kapal Mochan. Bilaspur fair administrator and SDM Jaspal Singh Gill took stock of the entire fair area and the entire district administration remained present at the administrative block located in the fair area throughout the night. After 12 midnight, when devotees started bathing in the holy lakes, police and administrative officials personally visited the three lakes and inspected the arrangements. Chief Fair Administrator and Deputy Commissioner Captain Manoj Kumar and Fair Administrator and SDM Jaspal Singh Gill extended their best wishes to the devotees at the time of main bath so that the sentiments and wishes with which have come to this sacred place of pilgrimage may be fulfilled soon.
