A debate on Kashmir’s independence was organized at Oxford University. The British Hindus had opposed this. British Hindus and the Indian social movement Insight UK protested outside the Oxford Union on Friday against a debate titled “This House believes in an independent state of Kashmir.” Meanwhile, an Indian student participated in the program organized on Thursday and whose video is going viral on social networks.

This Indian student’s name is Adarsh Mishra, a resident of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. He has been living in the UK for the last 10 years. He is a member of the Oxford Union and an alumnus of the University of Oxford. During the debate, he raised the issue of massacre of Kashmiri Pandits in Kashmir and said that the Oxford Union president is a puppet of the ISI. He alleged that the Indian side was not heard in that debate.

Lucknow’s Adarsh reprimanded amid debate

A video of the program organized on Thursday is going viral on social media. In this video Adarsh Mishra from Lucknow is seen. While talking to TV9 Bharatvarsha, he said there was a debate, I interrupted him and they called a banned organisation. I couldn’t tolerate this. The JKLF was called to discuss the Kashmir issue in the debate, accusing Farooq Ahmed Dar of being a member of the Kashmir massacre.

He said that the Indian part was not coming there, so I made it clear to the people that Kashmir was, is and will remain an integral part of India. Adarsh Mishra said that it seemed as if Pakistan’s ISI had organized a debate there. Adarsh said that he is fond of Kashmiri migrants and had also visited Kashmir last year. In the debate that took place in Oxford, the opinion of the Kashmiri Pandits was not heard, the debate was one-sided, so I presented the Indian side.

I’m not afraid of being called an Islamophobe.

Adarsh said that he was afraid that people would call me Islamophobic, but when I remembered the victims of the Kashmir massacre, my fear seemed very small. I also said that if anything happens to me for expressing my opinions in future, the ISI in Oxford, Pakistan will be responsible for it. He made a big claim and said that they prevented him from going to the first debate. I even threatened to cancel my membership.

He said that despite this he went there. He did not go there to listen to Pakistan’s opinion. He was attacked before the show. Adarsh said: “If talking about Kashmir is Sanghi, fundamentalist, then I accept it.” After this he quoted a poem by Atal Bihari: “Do not think that you will bring India to its knees with attacks, atrocities and massacres.” Adarsh told TV9: If we stay together, we will be safe.

London student Satyam Surana is a victim of hate

Satyam Surana, an Indian student studying in Britain, has also become a similar victim. Last year he alleged that a hate campaign was being carried out to defame him. He had to face such a situation in the London School of Economics student union elections. He said that a few hours before the elections he was being linked to the BJP and there was a demand for a boycott. He had opposed the Khalistanis and had raised the tricolor flag from the ground.

When Adarsh’s video went viral on Thursday, he said that these days prestigious Western universities have become platforms for anti-India and anti-Hindu elements in the name of academic and intellectual freedom. Satyam further said that what Adarsh Mishra did is a commendable and brave act. Indian students will no longer be silent spectators of the global anti-India propaganda spread by the ISI and its agents on Western educational campuses and will continue to raise their voices.

The director of the Kashmir archives had protested

Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, director of the film The Kashmir Files, has also held up a mirror to Oxford. Recently, when Oxford invited him to speak there, he declined the Oxford Union’s invitation. Oxford invited him to speak on Kashmir’s independence.
