Jharkhand Mukti Morcha suffered a setback ahead of the second phase of assembly elections in Jharkhand. Jharkhand Mukti Morcha MLA from Littipara assembly constituency Dinesh William Marandi joined the BJP on Friday in the presence of Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. We told them that Jharkhand Mukti Morcha had refused to give him a ticket for the assembly elections. Because of this he was angry with the party. On Friday, just hours after joining the BJP, JMM expelled Dinesh Marandi from Jharkhand Mukti Morcha for six years.

Jharkhand Mukti Morcha sent a letter to Dinesh Marandi in this regard. The letter said the party had served him a show-cause notice on Thursday, but he did not respond within the deadline.

Jharkhand Mukti Morcha said that Dinesh Marandi should be relieved of all party posts and it was decided to expel him from the party’s core membership for the next six years.

Regarding breaking his ties with Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, Marandi said that the party did not give him a ticket and even after that the party threatened him. That is why he has decided to leave the party.
He said his father Simon Marandi was one of the founding members of JMM. He had worked for years to strengthen the party, but due to the progress and development of Jharkhand he was forced to leave the party.
