A case of fraud of Rs 25 lakh by retired police officer Jagdish Patni, father of famous Bollywood actress Disha Patni, a resident of Bareilly district in Uttar Pradesh, has come to light. They were deceived on the pretext of getting high positions in the government and becoming chairman and vice-chairman of the Commission. Disha Patni’s father Jagdish Patni complained about the fraud at the city police station. Following Jagdish Patni’s complaint, a case was registered against the accused.

After being cheated, Jagdish Patni met SSP Anurag Arya and complained about the entire matter. On the instructions of the SSP, the Kotlavi city police registered a case against five persons, including the Acharya of Juna Akhara, on charges of cheating, forgery and money fraud. The police have started investigating the whole matter.

Rs 5 lakh in cash and Rs 20 lakh in bank accounts

After gaining her trust, the accused took a total of Rs 25 lakh from her. The accused received Rs 5 lakh in cash and Rs 20 lakh transferred to three different bank accounts. Jagdish Patni said that when no work was done for three months, the accused promised to return the money with interest, but when he asked for the money back, the accused started threatening and extorting money.
FIR registered against accused by order of SSP
Jagdish Patni alleged that this gang is misleading people by claiming to have fake political contacts. Initially the accused claimed that the work was in progress and to give false confidence they were introduced to a person posing as OSD Himanshu, but even after months, the promise was not fulfilled and today, an angry Jagdish Patni reported above all. Matter complained to Bareilly SSP Anurag Arya. On the orders of the SSP, a case was registered against the accused at the city police station.
Bareilly police registered FIR against these people
The Bareilly city police station registered the case and started searching for the accused. A report has been registered in Kotwali against Shivendra Pratap Singh, Diwakar Garg, Preeti Garg, Acharya Jaiprakash and OSD Himanshu under sections of cheating, intimidation and forgery. In the entire matter, Inspector Kotwali DK Sharma said that the locations of the accused are being identified and strict action will be taken against them.
