Chandigarh News: Only vehicular traffic at the city’s busiest railway gate C-115 at Derabassi tehsil and Issapur Road will remain closed for two days from Saturday morning to Sunday night. Although this decision was made by the Railway Department due to the repair of the dilapidated road at the railway junction, due to this, people from more than a dozen villages, including schoolchildren, will have to face a lot of problems for two days . For them, the cost, time and inconvenience will increase significantly as the alternative route is extremely long.
Senior Section Engineer of Chandigarh Railway Department has informed that the condition of road along the railway track at the said railway junction has become very bad and emergency repair has become very necessary. The material needed to repair the road has been arranged near the gates. Repair work will now begin from 8am on Saturday 16 November until 6pm on Sunday 17 November. During this period, vehicle movement at the railway gate will be completely closed for two days.
