National Conference President Farooq Abdullah said the Central Government should restore statehood to Jammu and Kashmir as soon as possible because this will solve most of our problems. After paying homage to Gurudwara Sahib in Chand Nagar on the occasion of the 555th Prakash Purb of Guru Nanak Dev, Abdullah said that one day Sikhs will have a role not only in the government but also in the Legislative Assembly, so that they can raise their issues of effectively and can solve them.
During this, Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Chaudhary and Cabinet Minister Javed Rana were also present along with Farooq. On this holy day, the former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir said that our Sikh brothers should strongly demand that our situation improves and that we are free from the rule of bureaucracy.
Farooq said administration cannot be done through bureaucracy. He said that in the past officials did not listen to the people but today people look at ministers with expectations. Hoping they address your concerns and make the right decision.
Abdullah recalled his previous mandate
Recalling his previous tenure as CM, Abdullah said that when I returned as CM in 1996, my first priority was to ensure your representation, because you deserved your voice to be heard.
