Difficult decisions will have to be made to strengthen the party
Karnal News (Aaj Samaj) Karnal: Since the defeat in the Haryana Assembly elections, former Congress MLA from Assandh, Karnal, Shamsher Gogi has been targeting his own party. Gogi openly blames Congress politics for the defeat. He has said many times on an open platform that lack of organization building has been one of the main reasons for the defeat of the Congress. For the last 15 years, the Congress has not been able to establish an organization in Haryana. During his speech at the press conference last day, Gogi advocated taking tough decisions to strengthen the party amid questions about factionalism and discipline in Congress.
He said even after a month and a half of government formation in Haryana, the Congress has not been able to name the opposition leader, raising doubts about the strength of the opposition party during the assembly session. Gogi admitted that this decision should have been made before the session. Terming it as a result of leaders’ hustle and bustle, Congress leader Shamsher Singh Gogi said this decision was postponed due to the Maharashtra and Jharkhand elections.
BJP misled farmers
During this, Shamsher Gogi targeted the BJP and said that BJP had come to power by making false promises to the farmers. He also raised the issue of the power of money and discrimination in elections. CM Nayab Saini had lied during the elections saying that cumin would be bought for Rs 3,100, but it was not bought either. Farmers also do not receive DAP. BJP wants to abolish PACS. Since there is no interest on PACS money, the BJP is not able to digest: why is Rs 1 lakh or Rs 1.5 lakh given to the farmer without interest? That’s why they’re harassing the packs.
