Bangladeshi Hindus were called “Modi’s middlemen” and threatened to massacre Hindus. What is surprising is that such slogans have been raised publicly. In venomous speeches, the Maulanas openly threatened to cut off the heads of Hindus and throw them into the Yagya Kund, but the Bangladesh Government took no action against the fundamentalists. Not even a statement was given against him. That is why Bangladeshi Hindus are afraid. ISKCON has demanded intervention from the Indian government.
In the capital, Dhaka, radicals demonstrated near the house of the head of the interim government, Mohammad Yunus. Maulanas made speeches against Hindus. He openly threatened to kill the Hindus and cut their throats. This anti-Hindu demonstration was organized by Ulema Aikya (Unity) Parishad. The great ulama of Dhaka participated in this demonstration. Firstly, ISKCON was demanded to be banned by forming a human chain around the Bangladesh Secretariat. ISKCON was described as a group of terrorists. ISKCON temples were described as dens of infidel terrorists. After this there were discussions among the Maulanas.
Maulanas said that if the government does not ban ISKCON, then Bangladeshi Muslims will destroy ISKCON and behead its people. The Dhaka Ulema Council alleged that ISKCON was working as an agent of India in Bangladesh. This campaign against ISKCON started 2 weeks ago in Chattogram, the second largest city of Bangladesh. In Chattogram, Muslim fundamentalists had demanded a ban on ISKCON, which ISKCON opposed. Hindus protested against the release of the jihadists’ video on social media, following which the Bangladesh police and army created a ruckus in the Hindu town. Hindus were dragged from their homes and beaten. Vishwa Hindu Parishad has condemned the atrocities committed against Hindus in Bangladesh.
The Muslim leaders of our country have also raised their voice against the atrocities committed against Hindus in Bangladesh. Samajwadi Party MP Mohibullah Nadvi said that the Indian government should take measures for the safety of Bangladeshi Hindus, it should talk to the Bangladeshi government and if the atrocities against Hindus still do not stop, then Bangladeshi Hindus should receive refuge in India. . Prime Minister Modi met ISKCON saints in Raigad, Maharashtra on Thursday. Later, the Prime Minister also discussed the situation in Bangladesh with ISKCON saints and assured them of all help. In reality, ISKCON is not an organization that anyone should fear. This organization consists of people who sing hymns of Lord Krishna and propagate the Bhagavad Gita. It is not an Indian organization nor does ISKCON have any political inclination.
I think in Bangladesh ISKCON is just an excuse, actually Hindu society is the target. In Bangladesh, attempts are made to intimidate Hindus, they are oppressed, their life has become difficult because among the Islamic fundamentalists there are some people who want to make Bangladesh a completely Islamic country. They want to run a government there using Taliban methods. Although this is not the original character of Bangladesh, the current government of Bangladesh is under the control of these fundamentalists. They have the license to threaten, kill and bite anyone and Hindus have no choice but to remain united.
