4pm News Network: At least 10 babies died and 16 children suffered severe burns in a fire that broke out in the children’s ward of the Maharani Lakshmibai Medical College in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. Regarding this incident, Jhansi District Magistrate Avinash Kumar told reporters that the fire occurred due to a short circuit at 10.45 am in the Newborn Care Unit (NICU) of the hospital. This fire is said to have started due to a short circuit. At the time of the fire, 47 children were admitted to the ward. Of them, 10 died. While 37 were rescued. The rescued children have been admitted to different hospitals.

He further said that the Chief Minister should abandon the election campaign and “false claims that everything is fine” and focus on the poor state of health and medicine. Only those families who have lost their children can understand the pain and suffering. This is not only a government responsibility but also a moral one.
