Single incident of murder-suicide.
A heartbreaking case has come to light in Kunbitola village of Salekasa tehsil of Gondia district of Maharashtra. A son cut his mother with an ax and then committed suicide after killing her. Two deaths together have caused a sensation. In fact, here a son of Kalyugi painted his hands with his mother’s blood. His mother’s only fault was that she refused to give her son money to drink alcohol, so the drug addict son’s blood boiled and he killed his own elderly mother by hitting her on the head with an axe.
After killing his mother, the drunk son got scared and jumped into the well located near the house, so he also drowned in the water. Once information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and autopsy was conducted on both bodies.
The elderly mother was alone at home, the son asked for money
The police provided information about the incident and said that when Sulkanbai Fatehlal Banothe, 75, was alone at home, her son Lekhraj Fatehlal Banothe (54 resident of Kunbitola post, Kavrabandh tehsil, Salekasa district, Gondia) asked her mother to give him money to drink liquor he demanded, to which the mother said that I don’t have money for liquor. When the mother refused, the son’s blood boiled and he took an ax kept in the house and killed the mother. When the elderly mother Sulkanbai died on the spot, the son said: “I’m sorry mother, I killed you”, saying this the drug addict son also committed suicide by jumping into the well near the house.
As soon as information about the incident was received, sub-divisional police officer Pramod Madame, Salekasa police station in-charge Burade and police sub-inspector Nagadive immediately reached the spot and investigated. However, on November 16, Salekasa Police registered an offense against the deceased accused Lekhraj Banothe as per the report of Gajendra Fatehlal Banothe under Section 103 (1) of the Indian Code of Justice, offense number 395/24; More research is being carried out.
