Before IPL 2025 there will be a mega auction, the preparations for which have been intensified. It will be organized in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on November 24 and 25. A total of 1,574 players had registered for this auction. Of them, 574 players have been shortlisted by the IPL Governing Council. That means only 574 players will participate in the auction, of which 366 are Indians and 208 are foreigners. The name of an Indian player also appears in the list of foreign players, who has surprised everyone.

Unmukt Chand is also one of the 208 foreign players selected for the mega auction of IPL 2025. Unmukt Chand has been registered as an American player in the auction this time. Let us tell you that Unmukt Chand was born in India and has also been the captain of the Indian under-19 team. Captain Unmukt Chand was the one who won the Under-19 World Cup title for India in the year 2012. After that he became an overnight star. People saw him as the future of India. However, after the U-19 World Cup, his performance was not what was expected of him. So he could never get a place in the senior Indian team.
Taking a big decision in August 2021, Unmukt Chand announced his retirement from Indian cricket. After this he moved to the United States. Unmukt Chand now plays in American cricket. So he will be considered a foreign player in the IPL auction. Unmukt Chand has kept its base price at Rs 30 lakh. Let us tell you that Unmukt Chand has been eligible to play for the US national cricket team since last year, but he is yet to get a chance to debut.

Unmukt Chand has been a part of teams like Delhi Daredevils, Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians in IPL. He was part of the Delhi team in the years 2011, 2012 and 2013. After this, in 2014, Rajasthan Royals added him to their team and then in the year 2015, he went to the Mumbai team. Unmukt Chand was part of the Mumbai team until 2016 and this was his last season in IPL. He has played a total of 21 matches in IPL so far. During this period he has scored 300 runs at an average of 15.00. In which only 1 half century is included.
