Fire safety work is being carried out in all government hospitals in the district for the past few years, but the work has not been completed yet.
In Noida too, the fire department team inspected the fire fighting system at PGI Children’s Hospital. Where some flaws were also found. It was reported that water was dripping from the basement of the PGI Hospital onto different floors. Apart from this, there was also no smoke detection system. Following this, CAO Pradeep Kumar Choubey has given instructions to repair the fire system. The hospital management has 15 days to correct the irregularities. Even after this, if the agreements are not rectified, action will be taken.
10 children died in the accident, 10 suffered serious burns
There was mourning at the Jhansi Medical College on Friday night when a fire broke out due to a short circuit in the oxygen concentrator of the NICU. The entire NICU was highly oxygenated, so the fire engulfed the entire room and a massive fire broke out in a short time. 10 children died in this incident, while 10 have died. 17 children were saved in the accident.
Questions raised about public hospital provisions
After this incident in Jhansi, questions are being raised about government hospitals across the state. Sources say that apart from fire safety, not a single safety team is present in many hospitals. Questions are also raised: why does the administration wake up only after some incident? People also blame hospitals for the accident in Jhansi.
