A strange story about a young man’s love for a chicken has come to light in Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh. The young man loved chicken so much that he went to the police station to get the murderer punished and was adamant about filing a complaint and registering a murder case. After receiving the complaint, the police began an investigation.
Shivram’s son Bhaiyalal, a resident of Jawai village in Pipri police station area, is a labourer. The neighbor allegedly killed the rooster with a brick. Because of this the chicken died. After information, Shivram reached the spot. When he came to his neighbor’s house to complain, the accused abused him and beat him. People intervened and calmed the matter down. The young man demanded that murder proceedings be initiated against the accused. Outpost in-charge Atul Ranjan Tiwari said the complaint has been received.

According to the information, under section 429, killing a pet whose value is more than Rs 50 and handling it in any way is a legal offence. Under this, a prison sentence of up to five years is provided for the accused.
