This was South Africa’s biggest defeat in terms of runs in the T20 International. At the beginning of the year 2023, Australia had defeated them by 111 runs. On the other hand, this was the third biggest win in terms of runs for India in the T20 International. In the year 2023, India won against New Zealand in Ahmedabad T20 by 168 runs, which is their biggest win in this format. While India had won against Ireland by 143 runs in the year 2018 in Dublin.

He equaled Sanju Samson in this matter. There was an unbeaten partnership of 210 runs for the second wicket between Sanju and Tilak Verma. This was the biggest partnership for any wicket for India in T20 International. This was also the biggest partnership for any wicket against South Africa in T20Is. If seen, this is the biggest partnership even for the second or lower wicket in T20 International.
If seen, for the first time in T20 International, India hit 23 sixes in an innings. Earlier, Indian batsmen had hit 22 sixes against Bangladesh in Hyderabad T20. Also, for the first time during a T20 match between two full member teams, as many sixes were hit in an innings. The Indian team scored 283 runs, which is their second highest score in T20 International. India scored their highest score (297) in the T20 International against Bangladesh in Hyderabad.
