Buxar: A shocking case of religious conversion has come to light in Buxar district of Bihar. A case has been registered here against some religious preachers accused of religious conversion of women. It is said that three religious preachers were converting women. When this was protested, they attacked the protesters, following which a case was registered.

Case registered against three people

Giving information about the case, Buxar SP Shubham Arya said, “On the basis of the complaint filed by the villagers on Thursday, a case of assault was registered against three preachers associated with a missionary located in Nagpura village under the area. from Simri Police Station. “The complainants alleged that when they tried to stop religious conversion activities in the area, the preachers attacked them.

However, the police officer said: “No evidence was found to suggest that the women were being converted against their will. We are investigating the matter and collecting evidence related to it. “We have questioned the religious preachers as well as the women who were allegedly in contact with the religious preachers.” He said that during the investigation, people associated with the missionary claimed that a group of people, including women from the village, had come to them of their own free will. The police officer said that the case of religious conversion is being investigated. No one has been arrested yet in this case.

A video of this incident that took place in Simri area also went viral on social media. In the alleged video, the preachers can be seen removing the vermilion by making a cross on the women’s heads after instructing them to bathe in the Ganges River. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders demanded a ban on the activities of religious preachers. He told reporters: “Conversion in the name of miracles, health and education is unfortunate. This matter should be thoroughly investigated and the accused should be punished.
