In this regard, after silver worth Rs 80 crore in Mumbai, gold worth more than Rs 14 crore has now been seized in Nagpur. According to the agency, an official said that the gold in the form of jewelery and biscuits was being transported by the Gujarat-based company Sequel Logistics. The vehicle was caught while the team was controlling the road. This consignment reached Nagpur by plane on Thursday, after which it was sent to Amravati.
The officer said the vehicle was stopped while it was heading from Ambazari lake towards Wadi. The gold was seized and taken to Ambazari police station. When investigated, it was discovered that Sequel Logistics did not have permission from the Electoral Commission to transport such a large amount of gold in the electoral environment.

The gold seized by the Flying Squad team in Nagpur was in the form of jewelery and biscuits. This consignment of gold had reached Nagpur by air. This entire matter is being investigated in detail. The Model Code of Conduct has been in force in Maharashtra since October 15. After the voting on November 20, the results of the assembly elections will be announced on November 23.
Silver worth Rs 80 crore was seized in Mumbai yesterday
Earlier, police had seized 8,476 kg of silver from a truck near Vashi check post in Mumbai, estimated to be worth Rs 80 crore. The Mankhurd police took this action on Friday night. Police were actually conducting a search at the checkpoint, during which a vehicle was seen. Upon suspicion, the police stopped the truck and searched it, leaving the officers present at the scene stunned.
Silver worth Rs 80 million was loaded into the truck. Currently, the police have arrested the driver in this case. Furthermore, information regarding the matter has also been provided to the Income Tax Department and the Election Commission. The gold and silver seized in Nagpur and Mumbai could have been used to influence the electoral environment. Both the Income Tax Department and the Election Commission are investigating these cases thoroughly.
