Defense Research and Development Organization, (Aaj Samaj), New Delhi: Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) today successfully flight-tested a long-range hypersonic missile. The missile, designed to carry various payloads with a range of over 1,500 km for all services of the Indian Armed Forces, was launched in the morning from Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Island off the coast of Odisha.
The missile was tracked by several ranging systems deployed in multiple domains. Flight data received from shorter-range ship stations confirmed successful terminal maneuvers and impacts with a high degree of accuracy.
