The Customer Care Department of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) received a threatening call, following which the Mumbai Police registered a case. This call was made to the Reserve Bank’s customer service number at around 10am on Saturday.
The person on the phone says he is the CEO of Lashkar-e-Taiba. The threatening person hangs up the phone and says to close the back door, that the electric car has broken down.
Taking this incident seriously, the police have launched an investigation. Taking the threatening call seriously, a case has been registered against an unknown person at MRA Marg police station based on the complaint filed by the security guard of the Reserve Bank of India.
According to officials, Mumbai Police has started investigating the case. It is suspected that some mischievous element has committed this act. Police are currently conducting an investigation and detailed details are awaited.
