Decision taken at the meeting of farmers and workers organizations held in Rohtak
Rohtak News (Aaj Samaj) Rohtak: Farmers and labor organizations will come together and protest against the BJP government at the Center and the State over issues like legal guarantee of minimum support price, amendment of electricity bill, exemption from criminal liability for farmers in case of stubble burning, etc. This decision was taken at the meeting of farmers and workers organizations held last day at Mansarovar Park in Rohtak.
The meeting was chaired by farmer leader Preet Singh. Kisan Sabha district secretary Balwan Singh said the BJP government did not budge on its pro-corporate policies. He said that today farmers face pressure to sell their crops. Under the BJP government, which claims to buy crops at MSP, farmers are forced to sell their crops at throwaway prices. Farmers’ rice crop is bought at low prices declaring that it has high moisture content. He said that the written assurances given by the Center on December 9, 2021 were also not implemented. The labor codes that were imposed in place of labor laws were also not withdrawn. Under these, instead of 8 hours, business owners can work any number of hours as they wish. Therefore, United Kisan Morcha has announced the next move.
The farmers had marched to Delhi that day.
He said that on November 26, 2020, farmers marched to Delhi against the three farm laws. On the same day, workers also went on a nationwide strike. They will turn 4 years old this November 26th. A joint warning rally by farmers and workers will be held in Rohtak on November 26. The meeting condemned the recent assault on workers on Hisar Road by hooligan elements and demanded the arrest of the criminals. He also demanded the release of victims who were involved in false cases.
