Abuja Prime Minister Narendra Modi received Nigeria’s highest honor – “Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger” in Abuja. This is the seventeenth international award he has received from any other country. This award will be presented on Sunday to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on behalf of Nigeria. The Prime Minister of Nigeria will be the second most important person in the world to receive this highest honor. Prior to this, Queen Elizabeth of Great Britain was the only foreign dignitary to be granted this honor by Nigeria in 1969.

After this, now Prime Minister Narendra Modi will receive this award. This will be the 17th such international award given to Prime Minister Modi by any country. Earlier, countries like France, Japan and Australia also honored Prime Minister Modi with their highest award.
