At the same time, when police officers Ramkumar and Karuppasamy approached the gang to arrest them, the gang started fighting. One of them overpowered the policemen, snatched their sticks and attacked Ramkumar. When Karuppasamy tried to intervene, he was rebuffed. Apart from this, when he tried to capture this fight on camera, one of the accused forcibly snatched his phone and the other slapped him. A bystander recorded the entire attack on his phone.

Police arrested 7 accused
This video of the attack on the police is going viral on social media. In the video you can see that the gang hits the police with sticks. As soon as this information was received, other police officers also reached the spot and saved both of them. Currently, Ramkumar and Karuppasamy have been admitted to the government hospital for treatment.
Based on the police complaint, a case has been registered against nine people, including Palapandi, Kilirajan, Panjali Raja and Pandiaraj. While seven defendants have been arrested. Meanwhile, two others are being sought. Police claim that the two absconding accused will also be arrested soon.
