Protests against Yogi Adityanath’s slogan are being seen within the NDA portfolio in Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh. Apart from NDA ally Ajit Pawar, many BJP leaders have opposed this slogan.

Motto repeated from the stage in Jharkhand
Talking about Jharkhand, all BJP leaders in Jharkhand repeat this slogan, considering it as an electoral mantra and justifying it. Apart from the BJP, there has been no opposition to this slogan from the AJSU Party, the Lok Janshakti Party (R) or Nitish Kumar’s JDU party, which is part of the NDA alliance. UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath repeated this slogan from the stage during public meetings during the election campaign in Jharkhand from many public platforms. Along with “Batenge to Katenge”, NDA portfolio leaders are also hearing slogans like “Ek Rahenge Safe Rahenge” amid the electoral enthusiasm in Jharkhand these days.
Not only this, veteran BJP leader and former state minister, former assembly speaker and current Ranchi MLA CP Singh, who is contesting from Ranchi for the seventh consecutive time on BJP ticket, has formally announced the slogan “Batenge to Katenge” at his residence. He posted a selfie spot with the tagline. Where BJP workers and common people of the capital were seen going and clicking their photos. BJP leader CP Singh even said that we were divided among ourselves, that’s why the country was divided into two parts. JMM and Congress oppose the slogan
Leaders of Jharkhand’s major political parties, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, Congress and RJD, openly opposed this slogan of Yogi Adityanath. Regarding the slogan of “Batenge to Kateng”, Rajya Sabha MP from Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and candidate from Ranchi, Dr. Mahua Maji, even said that this is a big agenda of the BJP, to make people fight in the name of religion, polarize and get votes.
On the other hand, when National Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge came to Jharkhand, he opposed this slogan. He also said that this type of slogan spreads hatred in the society. Responding to UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s slogan “If you fight, you will become isolated”, Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge had given the slogan “If you are afraid, you will die, we will save the country as one”. Mallikarjun Kharge had given this slogan while addressing a rally in support of Congress candidate Dr Irfan Ansari in Jamtara assembly constituency on Saturday. He told the people that they have to unite and save the country.
RJD said slogan is dangerous for the country
Leaders of Lalu Prasad Yadav’s RJD party also openly opposed this slogan and termed it as fatal and dangerous for the country. He said that we should talk about uniting the country and not dividing it and our Constitution also does not allow dividing the country, India is a secular country where Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs and Christians are all brothers.
Slogan became victory mantra in Jharkhand elections
On the one hand, from Maharashtra to Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath’s slogan is openly opposed by the Indian Alliance and several leaders included in the NDA portfolio. On the other hand, in Jharkhand, accepting Yogi Adityanath’s slogan “Batenge to Katenge”, leaders have made it a mantra to win the assembly elections in Jharkhand, which many leaders often repeat from the stage.
So far, no leader of All Jharkhand Student Union (AJSU), Janata Dal United (JDU) or Lok Janshakti Party included in the NDA portfolio has opposed this statement. Or one can say that all the NDA political parties in Jharkhand are considering this slogan as the mantra of electoral victory and are trying to navigate the assembly elections with this woman. The main political issue in these elections in Jharkhand is the infiltration of Bangladesh, the rapid decline of tribal population and the demographic change of Santhals is a big problem. In such a situation, this slogan is very similar to Jharkhand’s election agenda.
